Yes. Every Gabriel Dishaw sculpture is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted piece — 1 of 1. There are no editions, no reproductions, and no copies. Each work is unique to the collector who owns it. The only exception is the limited edition art print collection, where each print is signed and numbered in runs of 25 to 50.

What makes your work different from other upcycled art?

Gabriel Dishaw's sculptures combine authentic luxury fashion materials — vintage Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and other reclaimed designer goods — with vintage e-waste and pop culture iconography. The result is collector-grade art rooted in two disciplines that rarely meet: high fashion craftsmanship and electronic recycling. Every piece is built entirely by hand from materials that already have a story before they arrive in the studio.

The Air Force 1 has been one of sneaker culture's defining objects since 1982 — the first Nike shoe to use Air cushioning, and the shoe that built its own mythology in basketball and hip-hop before becoming simply ubiquitous. The Digital Air Force 1 Mid takes that silhouette and rebuilds it entirely from upcycled e-waste and found materials, transforming circuit boards, wires, and reclaimed components into something that reads as both a sneaker and an electronic artifact.

Part of an early series exploring the intersection of sneaker culture and sustainability, this is the original piece — completed in February 2016 — the foundation of a body of work that grew to include over half a dozen variants.

The Adidas NMD Runner arrived in early 2016 and immediately became one of the most sought-after sneakers in streetwear — a shoe that sold out within minutes, defined an era, and made Adidas' Boost sole technology a cultural phenomenon. Digital NMD Runner was completed in February 2016, the same month the shoe launched, reinterpreting the modern classic through upcycled circuit boards, RAM, data cables, wire, rivets, and braided steel wire — transforming electronic components into a physical record of innovation and environmental awareness.

The NMD's distinctive EVA midsole plugs translate remarkably into the language of e-waste, with the shoe's modular construction mirroring the assembled logic of circuit board art.

The Nike Air Max 90 has been one of the most studied silhouettes in sneaker history — Tinker Hatfield's 1990 design with its visible Air unit in the heel, its bold colour-blocking, its technical and aesthetic logic that established a template others still follow. Air Max 90 "Distorted" doesn't replicate that form — it distorts it, rebuilding the AM90 silhouette from circuit boards, data cables, wire, leather, computer chips, and clear tubing, transforming the shoe's clean lines into a sculptural reckoning with the electronic materials that now define daily life.

The clear tubing is a particularly deliberate choice — an echo of the transparent Air unit that made the original revolutionary.

The Nike Cortez is one of the oldest Nike silhouettes, one of the most storied in film history, and one of the most quietly iconic shoes ever made. The Forrest Gump colorway — white with a red stripe — is so inseparable from the 1994 film that the two are essentially the same cultural object. Digital Cortez Gump takes that loaded silhouette and rebuilds it from circuit boards, data cables, wire, leather, and found materials, merging three converging histories: the birth of Nike, the mythology of Forrest Gump, and Gabriel's decade-long practice of transforming discarded electronics into sculpture.

The Cortez was actually the first shoe Nike ever sold — originally designed by Bill Bowerman for the 1972 Olympics, it literally started the company. Choosing it as a sculptural subject is a statement about origins and legacy that runs several layers deep.

Digital Yeezy 750 Boost was completed in March 2016, rebuilding the iconic silhouette from circuit boards, data cables, leather, and braided steel wire — the Yeezy's distinctive strapped upper finding its natural counterpart in the woven electronics vocabulary of e-waste sculpture.
