Nike Dunk Inspires Sculptures using E-waste
My Nike Dunk–Inspired Sculptures reimagine the legendary sneaker silhouette through the lens of sustainability and craftsmanship. Constructed from upcycled e-waste and found materials, these pieces blend the innovation of sneaker culture with the textures of technology—transforming discarded circuitry and metal into sculptural homages to design and culture. This body of work continues my exploration of how sustainability, art, and fashion intersect in a new era of creative reuse.

Digital Dunk Hermes takes the Nike Dunk and names it after the Greek messenger god — Hermes, deity of speed, travel, and transitions, famously depicted wearing winged sandals that allowed him to move between the mortal and divine worlds. Nike is the Greek goddess of victory. A Nike sneaker named after the god who wore the original divine athletic footwear is a conceptual pun that goes all the way down: built from e-waste and upcycled components, the fastest sneaker silhouette of the past decade reimagined as an offering to the god who first wore shoes with wings.
