Today I wrapped up a fun tribute/sculpture to the classic Kenner Boba Fett toy from the late 70’s. I used upcycled E-waste and other found objects to create this piece. Another fun aspect of this piece is that its wearable and the inside of the helmet is finished with detailing and padding.
I had fun exploring one of my favorite childhood characters from teenage mutant turtles Casey Jones. I created this piece using vintage Louis Vuitton and leather.
In collaboration with Mortal Kombat I was honored to gift Alicia Marie (influential cosplay, fitness pro, and gamer enthusiast) an LV inspired Mortal Kombat Mask. Below is a quick video of her unboxing this mask along with some kind words.
As you guys are probably aware, I am a huge fan of the Avengers, specifically to Iron Man. I love the character from his wittiness, creativity as an engineer and his mission. For the month of the release of the Avengers Movie on digital and DVD, I created a LV electronic Iron Man helmet with the mashup of Louis Vuitton materials. The mask electronically opens with a tap, and the eye light up. Just like the movie helmet.
The helmet version used for this particular one is the Mark 46. Iron Man’s 46th version of the suit.
Checkout the video below on the motion of the helmet.
This sculpture was completed 8-15-2019. Already sold to a collector in Hong Kong :)
This week I shifted gears and picked up on another series, I have been wanting to add a new Pokemon to the series and I’m excited to introduce to you Bulbasaur LV. Hopefully, I will have more time later down the road to add other Pokemons - like Squirtle.
Stay tuned as I will be creating Prints of this piece.
On Sunday, at 3:30pm, I met up with the legendary Jason David Frank aka Power Ranger’s Tommy Oliver, Green Ranger, Lord Drakkon. What a great experience to fit the wearable sculpture that is customized just for him! Super cool, nice dude! He even did his famous Morph moves to pose with the sculpture. Check out the video below!
Late last night I wrapped up my third Louis Vuitton Inspired R2 unit. This was a commission where the client wanted a classic look that leveraged the color scheme of LV Luggage. This piece took about 60 plus hours to complete.
Inspired by the banned Air Jordan 1 sneaker and paying tribute to Michael Jordan's ability to catch Air it was only fitting to apply a pair of wings. During the creation process and watching a many episodes of Game of Thrones the piece took on a distinct dragon feel...
Over the years many people have asked for a little more insight into my process and how I got started, so I wanted to provide a snapshot into how I evoked upon this upcycled journey.
