Darth Maul's presence in Star Wars extends far beyond The Phantom Menace — his return in The Clone Wars gave the character a full second life, and his red-and-black iconography is one of the most distinctive in the entire saga. Lux Commander Maul draws on that imagery and fuses it with the tactical aesthetic of the Commando Trooper, building the form from a vintage Louis Vuitton handbag and other upcycled materials into a wearable sculpture that carries the weight of both references.
The collision of Sith intensity and LV luxury is one of the more conceptually striking in the collection. For fans who know both the Darth Maul arc in The Clone Wars and the Commando Trooper design, this piece rewards that knowledge.
