Hound at Attention was built from observation — specifically, from watching his brother's dog during the time Gabriel was living with him. The sculpture captures the precise posture of a dog at alert: composed, loyal, focused, present. Built from metal wire, an aluminum frame, adding machine parts, and vintage science equipment, it translates that watchful quality into a four-foot-wide figurative form that holds the room the way a well-trained hound holds a doorway.

Hound at Attention captures poise, loyalty, and awareness through form and material. Built entirely from upcycled and found objects, this figurative sculpture reimagines the spirit of the faithful hound—strong, composed, and eternally observant.
Items used in this sculpture were, metal wire, aluminum frame, adding machine parts, and vintage science equipment. I found inspiration for this piece from my brother’s dog, as I was living with him at the time I created this piece.
